Performs skilled mechanical maintenance at a good level on field equipment of Offshore Oil & Gas installations. Leads and directs assigned crew consisting of related crafts as well as participates in the crew’s tasks. (Work includes but is not limited to all type of field equipment valves, fitting, piping etc.)
Job Purgose:
Performs skilled mechanical maintenance at a good level on field equipment of Offshore Oil & Gas installations. Leads and directs assigned crew consisting of related crafts as well as participates in the crew’s tasks. (Work includes but is not limited to all type of field equipment valves, fitting, piping etc.)
Princigal Accountabilities:
Removing for repair and replacing by new/refurbished valves and actuators.
X—tree valves & actuators repairing
These valves have to be repaired in site using the available spare parts with the following procedure:
a) Dismantle the actuator with full care from spring tensile.
b) Inspect the actuator cylinder & clean from rust.
0) Replace the damaged parts/seal. (piston & piston seal, shaft, spring cylinder)
d) Boxing up & stroke test to be done.
In case of passing / leaking / stuck:
a) Dismantle the actuator with full care from spring tensile.
b) Inspect the actuator cylinder & clean from rust.
c) Replace the damaged parts/seal. (piston & piston seal, shafi, spring cylinder)
d) Boxing up & stroke test to done.
Rectify oil & water & gas leak
Pipe work removal/installation
- Overdue items (SRV’s).
Dismantle test separator/gas scrubber for inspection
Uses and ensures use of proper tools and tackles on the job are used
Carries out periodic pre—use inspection of tools and special tools, repairs. Overhauls and tests them when required.
Trouble shooting and repair all type of valves in case of leaking/passing/stuck
The above jobs will be done only when permit is issued and operator on board
Identifies and reports requirement of spare parts and recommends its use on repair or replacement basis
Assists the Supervisor to specify the spares for procurement of such items.
Checks and verifies tools, spares and other materials for conformity with the order for its acceptance and fitness for use. on arrival of items‘
Checks and verifies the compliance of works is executed for the completion and technical acceptability.
Make sure the spare parts are in proper preservation and storage.
Safeg
Attend group safety meeting, conducts safety talk to the crew, and conducts safety observation in work site. report incidents and near—misses.
Makes recommendations to continuously improve the method of work. for safe execution
Uses and ensures the use of proper PPE by self and the crew members.
Ensures proper housekeeping at all times at job sites‘
Minimum Reguirements |Knowledge Skills & Exgerience
Technical secondary education certificate in mechanical trade, followed by 2 years of formal training to a technical diploma
Four years of knowledge and hands—on work experience in maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical equipment and machinery, including essential knowledge and experience of equipment alignment is a necessity
Good knowledge of English language to read, write and speak.
