Laboratory Physical Facilities - Design and Setup
-Oversee installation of lab and site equipment.Laboratory Management Systems
-Participate in the development of required laboratory procedures.
-Participate in the lab certifications to ensure its successful completion.
-Implement the Laboratory Management System (LMS).
-Provide review of all lab activities especially sample analysis.

Reporting
-Prepare all required reports.
-Produce related documents provided to outside regulatory authorities (FANR, EAD, etc.)

Planning
-Plan for routine activities such as procedure revisions and shipment of inter-laboratory samples.
-Plan and manage the storage of environmental samples.

Staffing, Training, & Qualifications
-Complete initial BNPP specific qualification requirements for fully qualified Laboratory Specialist.

Laboratory Operations
-Support all daily activities of the laboratory by supervising and performing hands-on activities.
-Support all QA and FANR audits by providing the required documents
-Provide corrective action of all issues discovered in the program.
Provide review of all laboratory analysis for quality and accuracy.
-Participate in environmental sample collection.
-Participate in the implementation of the Emergency Plan.
-Implement radiation protection duties for the lab

Quality Assurance
-Follow laboratory specific quality assurance protocols to meet laboratory certification(s).
-Adhere to established Quality Assurance Manual requirements.
-Participate in the formal corrective action program and provide corrective actions to resolve the issues.

HSE
-Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety for yourself and other co-workers, legislative compliance, high quality service and a responsible environmental attitudeProvide proper management of the LMS by controlling access and reviewing and auditing the system.

Skills

B.S. Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or Engineering
Familiar with ISO 17025Minimum of 5 years technical lab
Proficient in use of computer software
Detail oriented in technical work

Preferred:
M.S. in Radiochemistry or Radiobiology or field related to nuclear radiochemistry
Certified ISO 17025 Internal auditor
SCUBA Diving certification
8 years technical lab experience
2 years in supervision of a radiological environmental laboratory handling nuclear power plant required analysis
