Job Description

To develop, implement and maintain industry leading procedures and controls of contract management which complies to all corporate policies ensuring effective day-to-day management of relevant contractual undertakings made by the Company. 

Key Activities and Responsibilities: 

1. Activity: Policies, Procedures and Systems Responsibility: 

Develop, implement and ensure adherence to Contract Management procedures, in order to assist the Chief Commercial Office to monitor and efficiently execute all contractual undertakings made by the Company. 
Lead the development of contract reporting systems to capture inputs from contract counterparts, aimed at providing evidence (documentation) that applicable management principles and practices are being implemented to meet contractual undertakings. 

2. Activity: Serve as Point of Contact Responsibility: 

Act as contractual "middleman" between the contracted parties. This will include, but will not be limited to: 
1) Oversight of contractual reporting requirements to ensure adherence to agreed timelines, accuracy and transparency; 
2) Act as liaison and first point of contact on all contract management related matters; 
3) Provide guidance as needed, on contract matters to operational staff and contract counterparts. 

3. Activity: Reporting and KPI Monitoring Responsibility: 

Request, obtain and review all reporting inputs and re-distributed all reporting outputs necessary to satisfy the contractual reporting requirements under each agreement undertaken by the entity. Agreements include but are not limited to the: 
Construction Oversight Services Agreement (COSA); 
Development Rights Agreement (DRA); 
The Prime Contract Agreement (Prime - Novated to the Company); 
Plant Services Agreement (PSA); 
Power Purchase Agreement (PPA); 
Project Agreements; 
Switchyard B&T Agreement. 
Agree, implement and manage KPI reporting as defined in terms of each contract. 

4. Activity: Finance Overview and Accounting Policy Adherence 
Responsibility: 

Partner with the relevant finance workstreams to ensure accurate delivery of broader finance requirements such as: 
Implementation of Company Accounting Policies; 
Accounting for Inter Company transactions and preparation of Consolidated Accounts; 
Monitor compliance to financial reporting frameworks (IFRS); 
Assist in Treasury procedural compliance and reporting as needed; 
Oversee Service Level Agreement (SLA) implementation, compliance and accuracy of relevant accounting entries. 

5. Activity: Stakeholder Management Responsibility: 

Partner with the relevant legal work streams to manage internal and external stakeholder relations specific to contract deliverables and issue the required communication undertaken by the company in terms of each agreement. 

6. Activity: HSE Responsibility: 

Follow all relevant company HSE policies, processes, procedures and instructions to ensure HSE compliance in all aspects of work in accordance with sound management practices by applying these HSE policies and procedures to self and others to take reasonable care for the health and safety of people, or the environment, who are at the employee's place of work who may be affected by the employees acts or omissions at work. 

Communication and Working Relationships 
External: Contract counterparts under agreements listed above; External financiers and banks; Audit Engagement Team. 
Internal: Partner with Finance, Legal, Chief Program Office (Contract Administration, Project Accounting, Cost & Budget Control) Treasury and Accounting teams.

Skills

Technical Competencies: 
Knowledge and experience in Contract management and contract execution; 
Knowledge and experience in implementing controls, tailored to deliver and support contract objectives; 
Knowledge and experience on how to gather financial and other relevant data used in the analysis of contract deliverables; 
Experienced finance professional well versed in Financial Accounting and Statutory Reporting Principles; 
Analytical & Reporting Skills; 
English Fluency
