Our Client is looking for an Executive Vice President (EVP) of Civil Construction who will play a critical role in overseeing and managing all aspects of civil construction projects within the organization. This leadership position requires a strong background in civil engineering, project management, and business acumen to ensure the successful execution of construction projects while driving growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
  • Provide strategic direction and vision for the civil construction division, aligning it with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies to drive business growth, market expansion, and profitability.
  • Evaluate market trends and competition to identify opportunities for business development.
High-Rise Project Management:
  • Oversee and manage multiple high-rise construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules for each high-rise project.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Project Management:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of civil construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers and teams to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the division's annual budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Implement cost control measures and monitor expenses to maximize profitability.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Client Relationships:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and address their concerns or requests.
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business.
Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of construction professionals.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and excellence.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members and facilitate professional development.
Quality and Safety:
  • Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
  • Implement quality control processes to deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Continuously assess and improve construction methods and techniques.
Regulatory Compliance:
  • Stay informed about industry regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Ensure that all projects adhere to applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Reporting and Communication:
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Communicate project updates, financial performance, and strategic initiatives effectively.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in civil construction, with a track record of successful project management and leadership.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction industry regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
