Job purpose & Scope:
The Boat Supervisor is responsible for supervising, follow-up and reports the offshore operations activities pertaining wells flow testing, pumping and reactivation jobs and ensures that they are carried out according to company technical and safety standards.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Coordinate activities on daily basis with Team Leader, , Wireline Supervisor and the concerned Job Officers in FD/WI/WE.
- Follow-up with Team Leader on testing / pumping requirements, update programs & ensure operations are carried out as per set monthly and yearly plans and technical guidelines.
- Works according to established operating Procedure, Standing Instructions and HSE Regulations to ensure HSE requirements are met, specially for night work.
- Review and ensure all production testing and pumping reports are prepared according to standards.
- Ensure timely delivery & counter sign loading notes of all consumables including but not limited to:
- Diesel
- Chemicals
- Water
- Acid
- Nitrogen
- Ensure Diesel consumption / deliveries are as per logbook.
- Follow-up with Marine and ensure timely availability of Mooring buoys according to programs, coordinate with utility vessel for the installation / removal of same.
- Coordinates with utility vessels for the collection of the mooring ropes left behind at location.
- Ensure readiness of next locations considering the following:
- Boat landing condition,
- Mooring Buoys availability,
- Readiness & availability of the WHPT (No hot/cold/ scaffolding works,
- Ensures readiness of the candidate well(s) with the proper connections available etc., depending on type of operation)
- Coordinates with M/C control & decides if vessel should go for sheltering in rough sea condition cases.
- Decide at location in liaison with M/C control if weather permits operation.
- Conduct regular safety meeting with the contractor personnel to promote awareness of safety rules and regulations and to ensure adherence.
- Ensures that WI /WE and FD receive information timely concerning variation from agreed plans.
- To follow all the conditions of the Flow Testing from the beginning to the end informing Team Leader about all changes happening during the Flow Test and comparing with the previous tests for verification.
- Following the Equipment Certificates and the maintenance schedule.
- Responsible for Data Transmission to the concerned including Abu Dhabi office Daily, Monthly and Annually.
- Train UAE national developee.
- Carry out risk assessments and prepare procedure for non routine activities including self audit, planned inspection and classifying equipments from hazard point of view.
- Visiting new towers, reporting major operational problems to team leader.
HSE Role:
- Responsible to follow and enforce the compliance with regulations & rules concerning administration & HSE of contractors under his command. This shall include but not limited to:
- Security Passes
- Travel Cards
- Training Certificates (Safety Training, rigging…etc.)
- Duty Leave Cycle
- Ensures that fire fighting and life saving equipment are in proper operation condition.
- Represents on board of the vessels to ensure compliance of the vessel & contracted personnel / equipment with the company’s standards & safety regulations.
- Reports and investigates incidents/accidents and makes necessary recommendation for improvement.
- Carry out planned inspection and self auditing to ensure plant and equipment are properly maintained.
- Conducts group safety meeting for contractors personnel on the boat.
- Initiates emergency drills and exercises on weekly basis.
- Discuss near misses with service providers on daily basis and draw up the lessons learnt.
- Regular contact with field Safety Engineer to ensure high level of awareness & ensure highest safety standard is adopted as per HSE guidelines, ISO14001 & OHASAS18001
Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):
Daily contacts with the Team Leader and FP, field staff, and Logistics. Continuous contact with Contractors and their Supervisors
Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:
Takes initiative to resolve encountered operational problems as well as emergency cases. Plans and arranges execution of testing & pumping jobs according to technical standards and procedure to meet requirements in the yearly & monthly targets.
Physical Effort:
Sitting :50% of the time(12 Hours basis)
Standing/Walking/climbing: 50% of the time(12 Hours basis)
Work Environment:
A/C Environment: 50 % of the time
Outside on barge floor exposed to dirt/grease/oil/heat and noise: 50% of the time
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in relevant Engineering discipline such as Petroleum or Mechanical.
- Minimum 7 years experience and knowledge of Supervises Contracted Testing/Pumping Vessel’s Operations and awareness on drilling, completion and workover engineering functions.
- Computing skills including MS Office
